Jess's love for art blossomed while growing up in the Boston area, igniting a passion that ultimately shaped her career. Her journey in the beauty industry began with her graduation from Paul Mitchell the School in 2011. Jess spent four formative years apprenticing under a respected salon owner in Boston. In 2015, she made the exciting decision to bring her talents to Newport, RI, where she found her niche as a sought-after colorist. Her artistry also shone brightly in the realm of high-end weddings, where she dedicated herself to creating stunning hair and makeup looks. Continuously striving for excellence, Jess pursued advanced education through prestigious master programs, honing her expertise in hair color and extension methods under the guidance of leading educators in the industry. Today, Jess is dedicated to collaborating with her clients to actualize their hair goals, all while ensuring a naturally radiant and healthy aesthetic that harmonizes effortlessly with their unique features. A culmination of eight fruitful years in the salon industry, including owning her own business and spearheading an assistant program, led Jess to the realization of her dream - the establishment of ŌRA, a beauty concept salon that breathes new life into a stale salon environment. At ŌRA, Jess extends her warmth and professional expertise to offer an unparalleled experience to her cherished clients and team.

Cristy is a beach-loving native Aquidneck Islander with over ten years of experience behind the chair. She studied at Paul Mitchell the School, where she graduated in 2013. She loves working with all types of hair, but one of her specialties is blonding. Whether it’s an all-over lighter, brighter look or something more lived-in, she’s the girl to get you there with the health of the hair being of the utmost priority. Hesitant to give blondes all the attention, Cristy loves freshening up rich and shiny brunettes as well.

With Newport as a premier wedding destination, styling brides and their guests is another one of her loves and talents.
